The National Youth Choir of Northern Ireland, previously know as Ulster Youth Choir, was established in 1999 to provide the best of Northern Ireland’s young singers aged 11-24 with the opportunity to sing together to the highest possible standards receiving training from some of the best choral and vocal practitioners from throughout the UK and Ireland and is now regarded as one of Northern Ireland’s leading artistic and educational organisations. The NYCNI Artistic Director is Andrew Nunn.

Concert on 19th July 2024 at Campbell College, Belfast, will include the World Premiere of composer Claire McCue’s  Arts Council Northern Ireland commission (2020);

The Big Folk & The Wee Folk”, a song-cycle based on Northern Ireland’s Folklore and natural attractions, comprising 3 new songs :

(i) ‘Respect the Wee Folk !’(ii) ’Slieve Gullion’(iii) ‘Finn McCool vs Benandonner  (The Giant’s Causeway’)
